"Felt very safe and comfortable staying in among the local people."

Owner personally made us breakfast everyday and it was excellent. And then cleaned up after we were finished. Is close to some shopping and sight seeing places. Great experience to live in the local area, with the local people and experience a small amount of the culture.

There was no air conditioning. But provide fans. So when it is really hot, might be an issue.

Simao and Edgar are the perfect hosts…the property is in a nice neighborhood where you can walk to a variety of places to visit, eat, drink and explore. Simao goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort and he is upbeat, happy and positive which is infectious. The bed was one of the best we’ve slept on and the breakfast we ordered on our 2nd day was splendid! The inn is artfully decorated and free parking is a plus! The ferry into Lisbon is a few minutes walk making getting into the heart of the city easy and convenient.

The small streets can be difficult to navigate by car, but we walked everywhere and could have actually done without the rental car…
