Roscrea Bed & Breakfast

The warm welcome, Sarah was so knowledgable about the area, recommending places to eat. The room was very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty with good quality ingredients. Nothing was too much trouble, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Roscrea B & B is the best B & B my wife and I have stayed in during our 40+ years of travelling. Every single aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. The historic house is beautifully maintained and decorated and there were unique little touches everywhere (chocolate biscuits on arrival, a selection of intriguing books in the room, eclectic furniture and fittings).The room facilities were excellent - lots of storage and hanging room for clothes, a large bathroom with a powerful shower, ultra-comfortable bed, tea and coffee making kit, large wall-mounted TV. But above all this, the X-factor that made our stay so great were our hosts - Sarah and Colin! They could not have been more friendly, more helpful or more informative and were on hand whenever we needed to speak to them. Sarah's full Cornish breakfast is a must to start any day (including the famous Cornish pudding!) and scored top marks for taste and presentation every time. Roscrea is situated just a few minutes walk from the local Bodmin shops and eateries so its location is perfect for strolling through the town and on to the many tourist attractions (Bodmin jail, the Bodmin steam railway etc.) We were delighted with our 3 night stay at Roscrea and are in the process of booking a return visit for next May! Try it- you won't be disappointed!

Beautifully laid out inside. Lovely ensuite and friendly owner/managment team. Very close to the town centre and priory park. Excellent breakfast!

Lack of comfortable easy chair in the bedroom.

The breakfast was excellent freshly cooked to order and extremely tasty. The room was clean and tidy with a neat,clean and tidy en-suite which was cleaned and refreshed everyday of our stay. We were welcomed by our host and made to feel at home nothing was too much trouble we felt more like part of the family rather than paying guests. I have no doubt that we will return if in Bodmin again and require B&B. I would not hesitate to recommend "The Roscrea" should anyone should I be asked to advise on B&B in that area.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike, everything was absolutely fine, our hosts were very kind, happy and it was a pleasure to meet them , always welcoming at breakfast and when we arrived back each day and there to say goodbye and wish us a safe journey when we left.

The breakfast was fantastic, particularly the breakfast sandwich offered and provided for an early check out.
