Exotica Bali Villa - Adults Only

Beautiful property set far enough back from the road you aren’t bothered by traffic noise. Room was lovely and spacious. Staff are incredibly friendly.

Slight issue with the AC in our room but we were quickly moved to another room. Put laundry in and it took over two days to get it back.

Erg goede locatie: heel rustig, maar vlakbij het centrum. Superlief personeel. Er is een soort gezamenlijke ruimte waar je koffie krijgt en waar een minibar is. Handig als je in de avond zin hebt in een snackje.

Wel wat duur voor wat we kregen qua kamer. Het was wat klein (geen ruimte voor je koffer). Badkamer was erg warm met hoge luchtvochtigheid.

I arrived at Denpasar airport about 3 pm and it was an hour and a half Grab drive to the accommodation. I was greeted by Ayu (female host) who is there from morning till evening and can help with any needs. There is a long lane way to walk down (2 min walk), and when I arrived there was an Indian wedding taking place. So I was walking through a wedding with my luggage. This was a really interesting experience and the people were friendly. The accommodation itself is very secure. I stayed in the large room which had a bathtub, and I loved that the bath filled really quickly. The room has floor to ceiling curtains and they are very heavy, so the room is dark, which I enjoy very much

I had arranged with Ayu to leave the key somewhere as I was leaving at 3:30 am for the airport. When out of nowhere a woman appears, she doesn’t introduce herself, but just asks, “Are you checking out, have you paid, what room are you in?” It was a really unpleasant experience and my driver couldn’t get out because her car was blocking the way… it turns out that this woman was the owner … It would’ve been really nice to hear, I’m sorry we’re blocking your way out, have you enjoyed your stay, we’re really glad that you stayed. I had to ask who she was because she didn’t introduce herself and she was taking the keys and I didn’t want the keys to be given to some random person. I had settled my account in full two days prior to leaving, so I wonder if Ayu could let the owner know to avoid such an unpleasant interaction again. The towels were old, for a place marketing itself as “luxury“ the towels could do with an upgrade. There was no bidet, very unusual for Bali accommodation and I would’ve loved a]one. This was the only accommodation that I’ve been to that does not ask for payment upfront, that is, upom arrival. Unfortunately they added a 3% card surcharge, which I also found unusual in Bali. If I had known there would be a surcharge I would have just brought extra cash and converted it because they charged me an extra 3% and my bank charged me 3%, so it all adds up. So I would’ve liked this information on the Booking website or to be advised in advance. There was a knack to locking the room door. Fortunately I had arrived at a time when Ayu was present and she could figure out how to lock the door herself. At first she struggled also. On the evening of Thursday 25th, there was some loud music going on till late at a nearby property. And then on Monday 29th at 3:30 am there were, what sounded like a really loud door banging, but it was probably firecrackers being set off nearby.

Op zich een prima locatie. Lastig voor auto's om er te komen. Had speciaal gevraagd voor onze boeking of de bedden lekker zacht waren, waar men ja op had geantwoord. Helaas was het tegendeel waar! We misten fijne vloeibare zeep en shampoo in de badkamer. Filterwater bij de receptie wat gekoeld zou zijn was lauw. Verder een fijne verblijf gehad.

De service van de medewerkers + eigenaar! Me vriendin heeft bali belly + een parasiet opgelopen dus heel goed mee omgegaan door het personeel en in alles voorzien wat we nodig hadden! Uitstekende service en kome. Hier zeker terug als we nog 1x naar Bali gaan!
