Landescape Furnas

The room was fantastic, blackout curtains everywhere for sleeping and AC. Breakfast in the morning was very nice, they deliver fresh (still warm! :)) bread every morning. I really enjoyed the sauna, pool, and being able to walk to dinner/terra Nostra/etc.

This might be the American in me, but when I first read “gym” I wasn’t envisioning equipment outdoors. I was just a bit confused as I’d never seen that before

Once one gets used to the different way this place is managed (ie, heaven on earth for “do it yourselves”), everything is perfect. Location, comfort, cleanliness and spaciousness are perfect. Having breakfast is a different story: exactly pre measured food and drink items are in the fridge for one to use and prepare; no being pampered at breakfast. If that’s acceptable for you, this place is flawless. We enjoyed it. Privacy and quietness is supreme. The people managing the place are very friendly; most of the time they are not there (since they are not needed) but in the mornings you’ll see them.

The hotel setting is exquisite. It's super quiet and rural but close to the town center, with an exceptional " secret garden" and history that is not to be missed. We loved the very well provisioned welcome basket offerings ( sadly we didn't drink the wine and could not take it with us) and the fresh bread each day was delicious. We liked that you let your self in and out with no check in process. The private deck was lovely and I really regret not swimming in the beautiful pool! (It was a little colder water than I like). The room was sufficiently large for us since we pack light, don't need a ton of space and didn't need to use the kitchen. The tiny kitchen looked to be well set up with utensils for cooking with a decent small fridge. You do have to use a step ladder to get to everything though. The closet was big and the bed huge and comfortable. Good AC/Fan set up.

Given the beautiful, simple architecture of the hotel and grounds. The functionality of the room was not good. The space is dark and painted all black and all the light switches are black. Despite the huge window, there is barely enough light to see what you are doing especially at night. Remembering which switch was for what light was incredibly frustrating, especially since you when you do get the right one, you don't get get enough light anyway anywhere in the room- except the toilet. That light came on automatically and very brightly when you opened the door to use it. It then stayed on long enough to wake anyone sleeping the bed. The shower was like a black coffin with an overhead spotlight that created a shadow that made seeing the faucet knob hot/ cold impossible. It made for a unpleasant shower even though the water pressure was amazing. Unless you are a couple or very close friends/family this room is not the best set up for any privacy in the toilet / shower area. There is also an odd motion sensor in the corner of the room that blinked green or red when we moved around but blinked white, then stopped when we stopped moving. We had no idea what that was and the ( very informative) welcome guest book did not cover that. It was a little creepy to be honest. The issues in the room are enough that I would not stay here again.

Landescape Furnas is a wonderful place to stay. It’s so quiet and relaxing. The garden is beautiful and full of vibrant plants, creating a peaceful atmosphere. We loved the Jacuzzi and pool area. There is also a sauna, steam bath and workout equipment. The rooms are cozy and well-decorated, fitting perfectly with the natural surroundings. The staff is friendly and helpful, making sure you have a great stay. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway in nature. Don’t miss the private park nearby which you can access from the property (it’s connected). It was planned & designed by António Borges.

Landescape was a fabulous location for a tranquil break with easy access to all of the attractions within Furnas. The breakfast basket was a nice touch making our start of the day seamless each morning. Would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone staying in Furnas for a couple of days.

the park, the pool(even tho it was cold), the rooms were nice, kitchen was nice, good location, god tier property

jacuzzi needs to be turned on way before you wanna use it i guess because it was covered everyday so i guess it takes a while to get to desired temperature.

The magical location of the studios alone makes it one the greatest places we've been to! Nested in the mountains and within the forest, this place brings you the inner peace and the deep rest you are looking for. On top of that, the personnel are so welcoming and responsive, they took really good care of us. I really recommend it to anyone who's looking for a physical and spiritual rest.
