Caversham Lodge

The host, Raj, was very welcoming and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was comfortable and we knew where everything was. He gave us lots of information about the local area and the place was exceptionally clean.

The owner/manager was so friendly and helpful and gave me all the information I needed up front. Nothing was too much trouble and it was like chatting with a good friend, rather than a person I had just met. The room was clean, comfortable and my twin had a choice of spring or memory foam mattress to select from. Everything had been thought of for a great stay and the recommendation I got for a dinner location was excellent too. I really enjoyed my visit.

A little more information about parking prior to arrival would have been useful but not 100% necessary. I found a local place to park and the owner was able to help with the necessary permit on arrival at the Lodge.

Raj is an exceptional host. Could not be more friendly or helpful.

Raj was warm and welcoming, and I would stay here again as close to train station and town. It was a handy place to stay for the Hyde Park gig.

Our own bathroom. I missed this. However all facilities clean and toiletries were provided which was a nice touch

Breakfast portions small but enough for me. Decor was nice. Location good on promenade

A lounge in the hotel would be an addition rather than use next door’s bar lounge which no one seemed to use
