Quiet property with friendly, helpful staff.

The no outside food rule is irksome, especially because the in-house menu, while great in quality and taste, can be expensive. It’s quite far from the main tourist attractions.

We like to stay only in home stays for the reason that they make us feel like home, with home food and so on. The people managing the art ghar are nice and kind. Appreciate that. The food was home cooked, it was good. There was an art workshop happening when we stayed and it gave a good feeling. FYI - they have 3 dogs, in case you are scared of dogs. But we are not, so it was a good friendly moment for us.

We thought of having the art ghar as our regular place to stay as we go to Jaipur super often, but just some things didn’t connect well with us. The problems were:- 1. The room with balcony is located right next to the main road / road where there is traffic. So if you are sound sensitive, it might not be the best deal to stay in the balcony rooms. 2. We didn’t like the capsule toothpaste. Just personal choice. And there was no alternative available. 3. We in the evening went and told the male staff to give us water with jeera boiled in it. As we like to keep our stomachs intact with certain Ayurvedic principles. Now it’s technically jeera water. What put us off was that when we were leaving, he asked us for 400 Rs (2 cups of jeera water) when we could have just done that in the kettle. But because it was homestay, we thought it’s best to boil it on the pan than in the kettle. I mean it’s jeera water. It’s technically just water. How does that have a price equivalent to some tea he mentioned. We were just really put off by the end end of our trip, just at the tip by this experience, otherwise this rating could have been better. We told the staff guy to inform the owner / management to call us on this, and we can settle if we need to pay 400 odd bucks for jeera water. When it is homestay, it can’t have a price on every little thing.

A great stay….. I was pretty sick and they really made an effort to make the stay comfortable.. beautiful rooms… amazing staff and really good food.

I liked the vibe. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. Also, very responsive. The whole house also had a very comfortable vibe to itself. Specifically, loved the bathroom and the products that were provided to us. Quite clean and sustainable. There were pottery and ceramic painting classes etc which was quite interesting.

1. There weren't any storage/cupboard in the room we were staying in. It was quite small and had no place for storage. 2. The AC in our room wasn't working. 3. The breakfast was okay-ish.

The breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful in all respects. The property was clean and tidy. Soundproofing could be better as one does hear traffic noise.

No closets provided.

The people were very welcoming! Help us arrange the taxis and everything we needed!!
