Friendly and helpful staff. Good choice of pub food at good prices. The selection of refreshments in the room is very good, and well stocked. Nice that the room had a private terrace, despite the inclement weather. The pub is in a good location on the A40, with countryside around it and well placed for visiting Gloucester, or the Malverns or stop overs en route to Wales.

The en suite is a bit small, with a very small sink, but it has all the facilities required, plus a good selection of shower gel, etc. Unfortunately, the lights from traffic passing during the night disturbed our sleep, as the window looked out towards the road - a black out blind would be useful.

Easy parking. Room was warm with radiator and quite comfortable. Owner helped me with case to room. The dinner was cooked beautifully.

I dont think the location was good, it was in the middle of nowhere. I had to climb stairs to room which I was not aware of but the owner carried my case up. There was no breakfast available and I was not informed of cut off time for dinner so just in time.
