Benview Bed and Breakfast & Luxury Lodge, Isle of North Uist

Paul greeted us on arrival, as did the chickens and ducks. We were made to feel really welcome. Immaculate room with tea, coffee, milk, toiletries and other very thoughtful touches like slippers and chocolates. The bed was big and so comfy and we had a great sleep. Breakfast was delicious, with eggs provided by the chickens or ducks if you prefer. Ben View is surrounded by beautiful scenery and nature, with Corncrakes and other birds too - it’s so peaceful and quiet and the stunning beach is in walking distance. There is a pub serving food about 3 miles away, and a garage with well stocked shop closer by. You can use the guest lounge to relax in which has a microwave if you don’t fancy eating out and there is also a well stocked honesty bar with alcoholic and zero alcohol choices. Wi-Fi is good and you can also watch Netflix. Paul and Lisa gave us great tips about things to see and we would definitely return and recommend.

We stayed for one night but everything has been very carefully thought through and every potential need catered for. The bed and room were so comfortable we had a blissfully relaxing night's sleep. Breakfast, cooked to our needs, was lovely with a broad range of options. A lovely stay.

Paul went out his way welcoming us. We had a most comfortable room and it was far better equipped than our own bedroom at home. The bedroom is spacious and has a beautiful view of a loch in a distance. The massive king-size bed with its fluffy pillows and duvet made it extra special. Every thing in the room is of high quality and tastefully decorated The bathroom has a heated towel rail, extra large sheets, two white bath robes, and slippers provided for extra comfort. A big screen TV with multiple channels to choose from is available in the bedroom and in a guest lounge. Multiple extension plugs are available for charging mobile phones. A large selection of teas and coffees is available should you need a hot drink. The best is a hearty breakfast made from freshly laid eggs from the hens on the property. The service in all was beyond a 10 star. We were sorry to leave and wish we could stay much longer
