I had such a great stay here! The place is very clean, well located, and the staff is amazing — super helpful, attentive and always around when needed. Big shout-out to Emile at the reception, without a doubt the best receptionist I’ve ever had!

La chambre est petite, mais fait très bien l'affaire : Elle est confortable, bien équipée et propre. Emplacement idéal dans le centre de Ruteng, et collé à l'agence de bus Gunung Mas. Ils louent des scooters directement sur place (mais pensez à les réserver en avance), et il y'a un restaurant sur place. Le petit dej est bon et le personnel est super serviable et sympathique. Ils ont été très arrangeants avec nous car notre bus est arrivé avec + de 5h de retard et ils nous ont attendu, et même fait à manger à 23h - un grand merci à eux.

Il y'a eu un petit couac de communication au niveau des scooters - mais au final une solution a été trouvée. L'eau de la douche est difficile à régler (brûlante/glacée).

Le logement est idealement situé : juste a coté des bus gunung mas. Toute la famille est tres gentille. Nous avons pris notre repas du soir à Chacha Homestay , le repas était tres bon. Nous avons également aimé prendre une boisson sur la terrasse avec les autres clients.

I stayed here twice on a motorbike trip from Labuan Bajo to Kelimutu and back again. The dorms and faculties are amazing. There are a hot showers too, but on a different floor to the dorms so just ask where they are. Breakfast and dinner is super tasty. When I arrived I was soaked through by being in the rain all day. The staff were super attentive and helped me with all my wet belongings (pretty much all my clothing I had with me) and when I woke up in the morning they had taken the initiative to hang them up in a nice sunny spot to dry off. Thank you so much for your help guys!

The only thing I can say is it feels more like a hotel than homestay, but that's only because it's more on the larger size for a guesthouse and the facilities are very well kept - so not a bad thing at all. So if you are looking for small cosy homestay where you feel like you are one of the family members, this might not be that one, but I still totally recommend this place! There is a cool hangout space with sofas to meet other travellers next to the dorms and most of the local family hang out in the kitchen areas which is next to the hangout area, so you can interact with the family here.
