"Overbearing and pesky landlord giving unrequested extras, and getting you to cancel to avoid paying booking.com fees"

It was cheap, everything in room was clean.

Paid in cash as soon as I went through the door - owner demanding I cancel because he had upgraded me to a double. I didn’t ask for this, I was happy with the single I booked, I didn’t want a room with a double bed in it. I had been up for two days and owner then knocking on door and phoning/messaging through the night telling me I have to cancel or pay £10 - £20 for the room upgrade. Nobody should have to deal with that.

The building was nice and the location.

Thin walls so didn’t sleep very well. The room was very cold. Dirty spoon so couldn’t have a coffee. The toilet didn’t flush properly.

Didn’t have breakfast it wasn’t provided. 1 milk, 1 coffee 1 sugar in room. Damp on wall, and the house was extremely cold
