B&B Alkmaars Toppunt

I stayed in the cozy and thoughtfully furnished one-room apartment under the roof which is small but has everything one or two persons need, especially in the kitchen. It was clean and the host Judith was highly amiable. Everything for a good breakfast (such as local Dutch cheese) will be in the fridge and can be prepared in the apartment.

Just a minor thing: when you open the windows, you hear another house's ventilation.

Very close to the cheese market. Owner was very nice. Ample breakfast. We were able to store luggage after checkout. Checkin was very easy (owner is there).

Two churches nearby chime a short song every 15 minutes, day and night. The space is relatively small with a slanted ceiling, making safe bed entry and exit difficult for one of two people.

The B&B owner is very friendly and extremely helpful! She provided us full attention and service. Truly exceptional! The location of the B&B is fabulous. The B&B is right in the centre of Alkmaar. The apartment is comfortable and relatively large. It has an excellent kitchen facilities with coffee and a fridge. Breakfast is self-serve from the fridge.

The main problem is that the apartment is in the roof space. It can only be reached by three steep stairs up. It is very hard to get suitcases up these stairs and the apartment does not have space to store suitcases comfortably.

We highly recommend this little place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay that feels like a home during vacation. The appartement comes equipped with everything necessary to prepare little meals, everything in the B&B is very clean and comfortable and the interior design is just charming. In addition host Judith will prepare you a wonderful breakfast for each day.
