Coonoor Mountain Stay by Lexstays at Mukesh Kudil

The view from the property is very nice... Staffs are ok.. food average..

No proper road to reach the property.. No sign boards or marking to property. If any emergency, very difficult to reach city... Not much worth for money.

Although the location is somewhat inside forest, the location and environment is amazing. Beautiful view of tea estate and Nilgiris hills. Service from caretakers is excellent. Home cooked food was delicious and freshly cooked based on our choice.

I went on a business trip to Coonoor and stayed in Coonoor Mountain Stay. It is a fantastic location. The road is very steep and bumpy but do not hesitate. At the end we saw a very very good location. It was really a memorable stay. You cannot expect a star hotel quality but the staffs and service is really good.

Only negative is road. It is very steep, narrow and bumpy. But if we see it as forest we cannot expect 4 lane road.

If you want to spend some time away from the bustle of the crowd and are seeking a location between tea estates, this is the place to go. Just 2.5 kilometers from the busy city, the amount of nature around makes the rough terrain on its way to this place worthwhile. We stayed on the top floor, which had a balcony with views of the Nilgiri hills and a tea garden. Evening lighting from the balcony gives the vista of Mettupalayam the appearance of a necklace made of tiny diamonds and gold.Throughout our visit, we also had the opportunity to see bison and experience waking up to the sound of birds singing. An added perk is the delectable handmade home-cooked meals. Overall, the trip fulfilled, our needs for a relaxing, exclusive experience in the great outdoors. We especially appreciate Mr. Saldeep's gracious hospitality. He was accessible throughout the day and ensured that we had an enjoyable experience.
