Wasn't no breakfast for it to be a bed and breakfast

Charming historic farm house! Quiet place with beautiful views! Easy to communicate with the hosts. Lots of room for the whole family. Back patio and amenities were a nice surprise. The continental breakfast had everything we needed. Great location off the highways to reach nearby go-carts and mini-golf, as well as Ligonier and Ohilopyle activities. We really enjoyed staying here!

We enjoyed the location in the mountainous region. We could watch the mist rise and hear the birds sing. We liked the history of the location and the barn type atmosphere. The breakfast was very basic.

The barn was renovated in 1987. Although the inside had been kept up, the outside of the barn and the property needed upkeep compared the the photos on the booking page. Rachel the hostess was available for whatever our needs were. Since we were the only barn guests, it was pretty quiet.

It was clean. Breakfast Kuerig coffee OK. Mercifully free of the dusty “quaint” clutter of traditional B&b’s.

The combination of sagging mattress and no AC made for a sleepless night. Breakfast substandard for a place calling itself a bed and “”breakfast””” and charging $200-plus for the night (store bought cinnamon rolls plopped on table in plastic bakery box; yogurt not healthy with a lotta corn syrup; not a fresh fruit to be found; packaged full-sugar mini waffles; etc. )

We stayed in the historic home that was a standalone next to the barn. What a very cool, historic property. Very comfortable for our family. Beautiful historic features, and set in a very pretty area. Plenty of room for an evening fire pit, grilling outside, and even a large patio that looks like could be a venue for a small wedding or reception.

If you are a person who is not okay with some creaks and cracks, then this may not be the place for you. It is historic. We loved it and felt like those little quirks only added to the charm!

Self serve breakfast of English muffins, paper plates…..reminded me of a Super 8. Toasting the muffin kept causing breaker to trip. The outdoor property was neglected, we almost thought it wasn’t open anymore. Lots of strong room fresheners in the hallway. No common area that was homey.

Very pretty setting, period correct renovation, easy access from highway, comfortable bed and clean.

We never saw another human. Breakfast was just a self serve snack bar. Only one chair in the room and no luggage rack.
