The Grange

Location. Heather and Roy were very pleasant and helpful. Thought it was a hotel that I had booked - pleased it wasn’t.

I am used to the “impersonal” service of a hotel stay. That has now changed.

Heather and Roy made the experience great - wonderful hosts. Would highly recommend and can hopefully go back again.

Everything. The nicest people we've met. We were during the Auckland flooding and Heather & Roy were kind and helpful and addressed our every need. They were very proactive in looking for ways to make us feel at home. We talked with Roy for hours and Heather showed us the amazing hedgehog she makes. Don't miss out on Roy's coffee.

Heather and Roy made this a very special stay. Great intro to the their beautiful property and local area with lots of tips re eating, drinking and Mount Eden. Cake and tea on arrival enjoyed in their peaceful garden was joy. A complementary glass of wine before we headed out for the evening. Good chat over breakfast about all things New Zealand. Thank you for making us so welcome.

If you like antique bears you'll love the Grange. Heather and Roy make and sell the bears and there are lots to see in the house. The house has been painstakingly renovated and you can see it is their passion.

Lovely breakfast served in delightful dining room. Breakfast included a wide selection of cereals, yoghurt and fresh fruit with a choice of teas and coffee. The house is beautifully furnished and our hosts were most thoughtful and helpful making our stay a highly comfortable one. They contributed to our time in Auckland with advice and suggestions to help us get the most from our visit to the city. We cannot recommend a stay at the Grange highly enough.

There were no aspects of our stay that needed improvement.
