Greyton Lodge

A two night stay. I and friend stayed at the lodge, each in our own room, as was requested. We were attending a wine event within the town, and our accommodation provided easy access to the event. Both our rooms were comfortable, clean with good services. A good and sufficient breakfast was provided as a part of the booking.

Nothing to dislike

Breakfast was fabulous and set in a lovely location.

There could have perhpas have been a small fridge in room to keep the products/water bought at the market cool.

It was on the outskirts of the town - not in the central hub - the area felt unsafe. We booked the most expensive room on Booking.Com. The manager said he had upgraded us??? The room only had a bath, which leaked, and no shower. The room was incredibly tired, felt dirty and tacky. Loose flooring. Very overpriced for what you got. A couple were complaining about the blocked drains in their room when we checked out. Probably the worst place I’ve ever stayed in.

The door is very unstable in terms of locking and safety

The shower was not clean , the main kitchen is very untidy and not clean at all. Needs a good clean

Breakfast was good.

The open plan bedroom was inconvenient , the kettle had no accessible plug and there was no cell phone charger plug. The bedside lamps had load shedding bulbs that did not switch off.
