The entire experience was exceptional. Josephine and Ian have lovingly created a home which ouses comfort, as well as being lovely hosts.

The fact that it was not on our route home !!

Ian & Josephine were both so lovely and helpful, we came to France for a friend’s wedding and couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. The room was so spacious, had everything you needed and more, with a few added extras too! We had a couple of drinks in the garden, and it’s the perfect setting for a relaxing drink after a day of exploring the area. Jo did the most amazing 3 course dinner! 10/10 would recommend!

Logis du Poirier is a beautiful house set within the stunning French countryside. The house offers a beautiful big garden with a table and chairs and sun loungers. Perfect to relax in the sunshine or sitting out in the evening with a bottle of wine.

Everything was superb, including our lovely hosts. Beautiful home, surroundings, room and bathroom, and the dinner and breakfast were excellent. Highly recommended.

Jo and Ian are generous and kind hosts who provided us with more than we could’ve asked for. The room was expansive with a very large bathroom. Our room had large windows to view the gorgeous countryside. Our breakfast was lovingly prepared. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. We cannot wait to return!

Pretty much everything! A fantastic and ongoing restoration of a lovely old farmhouse in a peaceful setting. Spacious, beautifully furnished room with a huge comfortable bed. An amazing home cooked evening meal from Jo with a fabulous breakfast the next morning including lots of home made delights. We loved sitting in the garden with a glass of wine after a long day travelling. Probably the best value for money of anywhere that we have stayed. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming.

A warm welcome, a charming restored charente stone house, a huge room and bathroom with great shower quality towels and bathrobes, a HUGE bed with lovely linen, a deliciouis dinner and breakfast, I could go on! Suffice it to say that Jo and Ian are perfect hosts who provide a wonderful relaxing place to stay; only one night in our case on our way south; but any stay there in the lovely french countryside would be time very well spent, please stay there and enjoy Logis du Poirier!

The hosts are the most lovely and welcoming people and make sure you have everything you need. It is a beautiful old house, which they have renovated. The guestrooms are nicely decorated and spacious and there is a very big garden where you can enjoy the sun. Make sure to try the breakfast, it is delicious! Thank you Josephine and Ian we had an amazing stay and start of our holiday.
