Very practical and best location, we will come back. Our host was so accommodating and welcoming.

I was staying one night before an early flight the following morning but I would have liked to stay longer. The place was very clean and well equipped. The location was great for getting to the airport. They were also super helpful in arranging a car to get me there at 4 30 am.

We booked here for our last night, since we wanted something close to the airport for an early flight. Everything met our expectations and was as described in the listing. The room was spotlessly clean. We took the water taxi to get to and from the historical center (1.20 Euro) and were able to walk to the airport in the morning (15-20 minutes). When we told our host we planned to walk, she showed us a laminated map with the route! The walk takes you right by a 13th century church, which is obviously closed at 5AM, but is gorgeous to look at! The kitchen has a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and tea kettle. Breakfast was cookies/crackers, yogurt, apples, and juice (plus coffee and tea). Milk was provided for the coffee/tea which was a nice touch. Our room was ready early, which was helpful. The garden was lovely to relax in before heading out to dinner. Great for one or two nights near the airport, but I would not book a long term stay.

The lighting is a bit dim. It is a bit off the beaten path for Brindisi, but definitely convenient for the airport. Breakfast is not large if you are used to a big meal.

Het was een overnachting om vroeg het vliegtuig te kunnen halen, dus veel verwachtingen qua omgeving waren er niet bij. Het is te voet met koffers een klein half uurtje stappen maar de vriendelijke behulpzame eigenaar heeft ons tegen een kleine vergoeding naar de luchthaven gebracht. De accommodatie is voorzien qua ontbijt op mensen die vroeg uitchecken met voorverpakte koeken, cake, dranken, thee en koffie. Verwacht geen ontbijttafel maar elders heb je niets om 5 of 6 uur in de ochtend… dus viel al bij al best mee.

Tegenvallend is de omgeving. Brindisi old town was in vergelijking met andere oude stadskernen doods. Op enkele verdwaalde toeristen na lege straten, geen winkeltjes, nauwelijks restaurants waarvan de meeste pizzeria’s en deze voor het overgrote deel pas open om 19.00 uur. Brindisi raad ik niet aan als bestemming, je kan beter zonder afbreuk aan de accommodatie te willen doen plaatsen als Monopoli, Otrante of andere levende gezellige havenstadjes bezoeken.
