St Columbs House

Good location for Inishowen Peninsula Brian was a lovely host and very helpful. He even took us to a restaurant for evening meal and picked us up later.

The breakfast was very poor. No hot food at all the presentation of the food was very poor. The location was good.

The pillows. The ensuite was very small. The host changed his mind about late to check out.

Great location and the house, which has been restored to a very good standard, will be great when it’s finished. The owner (Brian) had lots of good advice about where to visit (and not visit!) both in Buncrana and the surrounding area. Beds were very comfy.

The whole facility is nearly there in terms of a well functioning hotel. However there’s no discernible reception and you have to hunt around for Brian to check in (admittedly we were early). Lots of things missing from the room that were included in the listing - no kettle, tea/coffee making facilities, mini-bar etc. No bin in one room. There seemed to be random stuff in the corridors - pegs on the stairs, lamps, towels, and an empty fridge! Our bathroom was very small, so much so it was difficult to wash your face without head butting the shelf. The window/blackout blind was tied off high up so we couldn’t close it at night. The balcony area was a nice addition but the old plastic chairs let it down. Couldn’t pay by card on leaving so had to go to the cash machine.

Absolutely nothing.

Midges in the room, no glasses for the water that was supplied, a DIY breakfast of awful juice, average boiled eggs, cheap sliced bread and no option of a cooked breakfast. There was also a hole in the wall in the room

We booked tickets to see Tom walker sing at The Buncrana music festival . So the location was perfect to where the festival was. The host was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was perfect

Lovely old property and close to the town

Close to the main street...pubs restaurants etc

The host Brian was very nice and friendly...but what let us down was the breakfast...no hot breakfast was available which was very disappointing...the cold buffet was basic and bland... cleanliness was deffo not 5 ⭐...dust all over our room ...a hole in the wall..we were supposed to have a garden view 😭... disappointing also(pics attached)..the en suite shower room was very very small but done the job... basically it was a room with a shower...bed wasn't very comfortable...sheets could have been fresher...the rooms wer definitely not soundproof...a lot of noise from the outside...no Aircon in the room...apart from the large window...which helped...all in all it was basic 😳😳..I'm afraid I wouldn't go back and I would only give it 2⭐...at most ...
