B&B Castello Otranto

The location was great.. walk to the beach, walk to old town and the cathedral. Breakfast was tailored to what you prefer and very fresh. Our host, Lucca was so helpful with directions, recommendations and concern for his guests.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Luca and his family are very friendly, courteous and helpful. You immediately feel welcome and at home. Very pleasant and positive atmosphere throughout the accommodation. Freshly prepared breakfast, very tasty and high quality. Perfect location directly opposite the castle and historic center. Own garage for the car directly in the house!

The room was a little poorly soundproofed

The location, the hospitality, and the property could not have been better. Especially Chiara, who saw to every detail. If you venture to Puglia, be certain to spend time in Otranto, and by all means stay at B&B Castello Otranto.

The wonderful hosts did everything to make us feel very comfortable during our stay in the apartment. The hygiene is at a high level, the breakfast is varied, the location is excellent. We will be happy to return to Otranto again. 🙂🇮🇹

We absolutely love the place, and the host, so friendly, makes us feel that we have known each other for a long time! The place is new, very clean, right next to the entrance to the old town, the view is amazing (you can see the harbor and the sea), the breakfast was tasty and carefully prepared! Hopefully, we will return one day!

It is a very clean, the rooms are cleaned everyday and to a high standard. The view from the breakfast space is lovely and location is very good

It is On the port side so if you want to visit the beaches then it’s a walk away. There’s also no shops near by like for water cigarettes etc. The room was very clean but many things were missing like little touches for ease and some big flaws for comfort and quality: No bin in room The tv Ariel was very poor and did not work many times in the day The smart tv had no apps downloaded and when we tried to use them the internet was too slow (these should be downloaded and signed in) The ac doesn’t work with any windows open so if u need to air out the bathroom ur ac will switch off o The bedroom balcony door needs curtains, it only has a shutter and even with that fully down the room is very bright after sunrise There was no blanket etc provided and when asked for one it was a thin bed cover The patio was “private” in that we had our own access but it was not private at all as it was parted with wooden small partitioning and also you could see into the neighbours kitchen The view from the patio was horrendous The room service wine was also very expensive at 20 euro for two glasses and a bottle of water After cleaning, the fridge was only topped up with a single non sparkling water bottle (small) everyday (for 2 people) There is no tea coffee facilities in the room and no box of tissues etc (only toilet paper) Just little things that make it less value for money and not a good sleep The pros are that both Luca and ciara are very nice people. Ciara, is especially very personable and easy going. The breakfast is decent and they don’t skimp on the portions and are very organised with the service. The place needs a lot more for it to be justifying or the rating on booking.com but maybe they will work these out with more time and experience but at the moment it is very basic in facilities and price should be lower
