Rockfoot B&B

Lovely stay - easily our favorite stay in 10 days in Scotland. I loved how the hostess made a continental breakfast; I am fine with sausage, beans, boiled tomatoes, boiled mushrooms, scrambled eggs, and haggis - but I was extremely sick of it after about 3 days. This was the only place we stayed where we could get anything fresh at breakfast and the only time we even saw a hard boiled egg, which was a surprise. Simply lovely to finally have some berries, cherry tomatoes, and I think we had sliced cucumber as well. The moment you pass over from Lennoxtown over the hills into this hidden valley, you feel you've transitioned to the Scottish highlands.

Everything was great. It's a central location to quite a few different spots of interest within a 30 or so minute drive, and a LOT of spots of interest within an hour or so drive. I guess the only thing I didn't like was that I booked one night here, when I should have booked three.

Would have liked a larger room

Moira, our host, made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for her and made us feel at home. The breakfast was excellent, a large choice of cereals, jams, etc. The full Scottish breakfast was suberb. We would not hesitate to stay at Rockfoot again We can highly recommend it.
