Fabulous views, clean, quiet, comfortable.

Room service breakfast was very nice, everything we needed, lovely fruit salad with yoghurt and muesli. The decor was gorgeous, the room spotlessly clean, all fresh and new feeling. Bathroom had everything we needed. Lovely shower. Nice coffee in the room. The sea and the views are spectacular. Enjoyed the cat Doro's company. Host was attentive and kind. Thank you so much!

Having lived in Wellington 30+ years ago I was surprised to find this little gem. Great views of the local islands, beach huts and the rugged coastline. If you have never had a Paua Fritter, be sure to ask for one at the local Fish and Chip shop and wash it down with a pint of craft beer within 10 minutes walk from the accomodation. Raewynne was a great host and if youre lucky, she'll meet you for an early morning walk to dust off the cobwebs

The room was spacious and well equipped and adequate for our needs. The sound of the sea was sophorific and we had a great night's sleep. The location was ideal with off street parking and in easy reach of the capital city. As parking in any city is fraught with difficulty, Atahu was located such that the train station c/w free parking was easy to reach. There was a shopping centre nearby also to purchase foodstuffs to make a meal as the local restaurants did not appeal. The host was most attentive and informative. The breakfast was a welcome bonus.

We were very concious of the list of rules and sought not to disturb our host. Nevertheless we could not get the place warm and cosy in the evening. The abscence of carpet and soft furnishing makes it very difficult to be quiet also. We tried to use the extractor fan as little as possible. In the morning we would have liked to open the door and sit on the patio but were very conscious that the cat would enter the apartment.

Clean, beautiful view. Considerate host, night light turned on for returning after dark.
