Hayashi Pension

Fantastic hosts! Provided delicious green tea and information on hiking the nearby Mt Shirouma-Dake and even provided a lift to the start point when the local bus services were cancelled due to bad weather.

Very nice Japanese house with very friendly hosts. They were happy to drive me to the bus station and resort if needed and the it was a comfortable room with heated floors

The location of the property is about 25 mins walk out of town so going down for dinner was difficult though the hosts were happy to drive down there for me

Hayashi and his wonderful family made us feel so welcome and comfortable during our time there. We had dinner in the pension each night and it was so delicious and well balanced, perfect for recovering from a long day snowboarding. The onsen in the house was also a lovely touch! We are hoping to come back again next year!

The hosts were very lovely and it was cosy and clean.

Location- It was up a very steep hill which was difficult to get to in the heavy snow. The beds were too soft, we prefer Japanese style futon bed.

The property has nice facilities and feels like a real cabin stay. The host was incredibly nice and drove us to the ski resort, even considering what time was best for us. Beyond that, the host helped us upon our departure by meeting us at the bus station with our bags after a day out. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are warm. I would definitely come again.

Quiet location with great views. The host does shuttle service to the ski resort and to town.

Hayashi and family are lovely people. Lifts to and from skiing was excellent.
