Furaha Rena -Kendwa

We loved staying here. You get to enjoy one of the nicest beaches in the world (just a 5 minute walk away) at an incredible value. The room was simple but very comfortable and clean. The owner was very friendly and quickly responsive when we had a problem with the toilet. She gave great local recommendations too. The on site breakfast was delicious—including fresh fruit, juice, eggs, and pastries. Would recommend my family and friends to stay here if they visit Zanzibar!

In general I like the property, it feels like I am child again and enjoying time in the Summer camp. It was close to the best beach in Zanzibar and Renate is really nice woman. Welcoming, friendly, full of positive vibe.

I haven’t notice when booking that there is no AC and that was a bit issue for me personally as fan wasn’t strong enough and when power cuts … it was very hot there and I woke up “swimming” in my own sweat. But biggest issue was extremely bad shower power and basically no running water in sink.

Nice place to stay in Kendwa. It is not by the beach however you're there in a few minutes. They had a safe in the room which was a nice thing to have. The garden is amazing, and Renata - the host - is brilliant. Very calm place and would definitely return.

The street leading to the hotel can be dark at night for a few minutes, but one should not be intimidated by it.

Excellent value for money!! Close to the best in Kendwa, including the beach, but very relaxed and calm. Renate is a super kind guest and the breakfast was great.

This house is amazing As a really good garden, every room has his private mini garden where you can have your meals or just sit to read, drink.. Having your own time. The bed is very confortable, they have hot shower what is great even if you don't need it is always good to have it. The beach is about 5min walk Renata is an amazing host, staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing, you have juice, coffee, tea, fruits... Very good I really advice everyone to go there and if you are in a budget like we were this is perfect.

Small cosy place with nice and helpful hostess. Very clean. Good fan. Nice veranda. Fresh juice and fruit for breakfast. Very much worth the money! Restaurants and beach close.
