Amssler Beach Stay

The guest house is located a few minutes away from the train station of Kalutara South (take a Tuktuk for 250 Lkr) or even closer to the bus (10 min walking distance). The view on the ocean from the room is fantastic, the balcony is equipped with chair so you can enjoy the view. The room is wide and confortable with a double bed and 1 table, fridge, kettle. Shops are 10 min walk from the property. Wifi is working perfectly. And there is hot water for showers. The personnel is very friendly, welcoming and helpful and can answer all your questions. I stayed there for 2 nights and went to Bentota river boat trip of 2h using the bus (30 min trip with the bus)

Hotel is right next to beach with nice view from balcony. To food store or restaurants its not far (10 minutes walk). Rooms are nice and comfortable. Pool is also nice, with good deep for kids. Staff was always ready to help us with any possible wish or question. I fully recomend to stay here...

The view was good. Modern bathroom with 2 sinks. Value for money.

When we turned up, they seemed unaware of our arrival. It was all locked up, luckily they had a room ready. It was basically a family home with some rooms attached. It smelled overpowering from air freshener- like they were trying to hide something. Some sort of pellets scattered everywhere ?for pests? The sheets were clean, but stained with blood. We couldn't get reliable WiFi. The shower was cold. There was a sun screen blind instead of curtains so couldn't sleep. The bed was hard. It was a noisy place. I wouldn't stay here again but it was very cheap.

it was calm and quiet, just opposite to the beach although we didn’t go because it was raining. they have a small swimming pool we didn’t use again because of the rain with thunder and lightning. Big bathroom. Overall a good location and nice property.

Room was very small A/C didn’t work properly so it was quite hot in the room. lot of mosquitoes were in the wardrobe, I don’t know why that was. Tiles in the bathroom were very slippery when wet and it was hazardous to walk after a shower. Rug near the bathroom entrance was not dusted properly and it had sand and every time when we walked to the room after wiping out feet on it we had sand on our soles and leave dirty foot prints on the floor. it’s nice property but they should pay little more attention to keeping the floors clean.
