Clean, modern, fantastic host. Excellent shower with plenty of hot water and strong pressure.

Nothing at all

Outstanding room in recently renovated home. Our hostess could not have made us more welcome. Bottles of cold water were provided in the fridge. Silvana made sure we knew the location of the cafe for breakfast and gave us a great recommendation for dinner.

In the future, it would be great to have access to a kettle and some mugs for making tea or coffee.

The room is very modern, clean, great for a few days stay.

I did not like the fact that breakfast is served at the nearby bar. I do not think that was disclosed anywhere in the booking. It should have been. The issue is that when you book a “superb” or “exceptional” breakfast you expect a bit more than a cappuccino and a croissant. At the bar, this is all you get and there is nobody to complain with, as the host is just not there and you just want to get on with your holiday.

The stay at Al Vecchio Frantoio was the highlight of our travels. We only wished we had planned to stay in Manduria longer. Alfonso was so hospitable from the moment we arrived. From serving us a cold beer to a delicious local wine, Alfonso treated us like friends. When we asked for recommendations of where to eat local cuisine, Alfonso personally walked us to a nearby restaurant to make sure we could find the hidden gem and arrange our reservation. The apartment we stayed in had arched stone ceilings and uniquely placed glass. Every part of the space was well designed and beautifully appointed. If your travels include Manduria - we truly believe staying for at least one night should be in your plans.
