Primrose Villa self catering bnb

Nice and quiet location. Very clean. Rosie was a very helpful and friendly host.

The fridge being next to the bed was a bit of a problem for me, being such a poor sleeper, but I feel sure it wouldn't bother a decent sleeper. We just turned it off for a few hours.

Excellent location with everything required available. Milk and bread provided for breakfast with a choice of cereal etc. The room was comfortable and warm and everything required for a short stay to rest.

All as expected.

It was mostly very good, Rosie is welcoming and friendly. Room bright and cozy.

Usually stay with our son who uses very little heating so chose good priced b and b in order to be warmer. On arrival the radiators were lukewarm warm and room cold. It was an extremely cold weekend. When contacted Rosie turned the temperature up but it was the same again in the morning. Bathroom would be fine in better weather but it is just a shower cubicle with added lavatory and washbasin. Radiator is outside in open-plan area so we did not use the shower. This is very unfortunate as Rosie is friendly and the room attractive.

The communication from Rosie was spot on, very welcoming and friendly. Primrose Villa was perfect for us. We were originally going to book a premier inn for the night, but we are so glad we didn’t. This quaint little villa had everything. A large, comfortable double bed, a sofa and tv, with all the channels, excellent WiFi, and a kitchenette with everything you need. Everything is in one room, with an additional cloak area and wet room. It was very cosy and warm to say the least. The wet room is compact, with a very good power shower. You have to manoeuvre a bit around the toilet when your showering, but we didn’t have a problem, as long as you don’t take anything in with you that you want to remain dry it’s fine. You come out feeling very clean 😃 The bespoke breakfast was delicious. Rosie asked in advance what bread and milk we preferred and the seeded bread and a pots of jam and marmalade were perfect. The location is ideal for a gentle ten minute stroll into town, over an ancient bridge, which has a beautiful high street with lots of shops and restaurants. We also appreciated the free parking space directly out front.

Compact but clean and comfortable, lovely hosts, quiet street close to town centre and guests have their own parking space. Fantastic shower! Nice private little patio outside. Good location for a walking holiday.

It would be useful if there was a frying pan to cook eggs and bacon for breakfast! There is Internet tv available, but when I tried to use BBC iplayer but it kept buffering.
