Great Place to stay! Friendly, accommodating, quiet, very guest service focused. The Sauna was Awesome after of day of trout fishing in the snow. Looking forward to my next visit when I bring family and friends.

Great hospitality

The informality and relaxed family atmosphere. Additionally, the secluded location allowed for a more intimate experience. The Waybright family was not only very cordial but also provided plenty of flexibility with meal planning to allow other activities, plus we thoroughly enjoyed spending time talking to them.

The home is ideally located to all of the attractions of the area you're wanting to see. It's a beautiful and cared for Victorian nestled in a quaint valley below Canaan; the views won't disappoint. However, the best part is the company. Our hosts were the most outgoing, gracious, and humble family of Mountaineers we've ever met. If you need anything they've got you covered. I've been stuck with a cough for weeks before arriving and as soon as Marsha noticed, she was at the wait with tea, medicines, and motherly support. Me and my partner both truly felt adopted by the Waybrights. They're some of the best folks you'll meet on your trip. You couldn't possibly regret staying here.

It’s a characterful Victorian farmhouse in on a working farm in a beautiful remote valley by a river. My idea of paradise. Our hosts were lovely and really did make us feel like part of the family while we were there. The home cooked dinners and breakfasts were also great and save a longish drive (20 mins) to nearest restaurants in Canaan valley.

The location is fantastic. Totally secluded in a marvelous landscape. The house seems to be an historic farmhouse, very charming. There is a river near by and sitting there is extremely relaxing.

We did not pay attention to the fact that the total of two bathrooms had to be shared with a maximum of 8 tenants (4 rooms each accomodating two people max). Only one of the bathrooms had a functional shower and this meant taking all your things from the room upstairs next to the kitchen area in the ground floor. This would be ok for a cheaper rate but not for this price.

a perfect hideaway

LRC is an absolute fantastic place. Even though it is a bit far from the next village (restaurant or shop) it is a perfect place. The landscape is so beautiful and it is so peaceful and calm. The landlady is extremely nice and friendly and she leads the B&B with her heart I can only recommend this beautiful place
