Casa da Praça is exceptional! The location is absolutely perfect, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the fact that there is a place for the car (we rented one) was extremely useful too. The room is very comfortable, spacious and spotless. There was a fridge and some cutlery, which came in handy at times. We also used the luggage room, if you arrive early or leave late, it's truly a perk! You can find a supermarket 5 mins away, a coffee shop downstairs (and basically restaurants and cafes very near). The neighbourhood is very central and lively during daytime but quiet at night, allowing for a very good rest after all the driving and hiking.

If you are bothered about the view (which for us wasn't a problem, since we were out most of the day), our window was opposite other room windows. Also, if you are sensitive towards the fridge noise at night, do take some earplugs. Despite that, the room was particularly quiet.

The room was extremely clean and equipped with all the necessary equipment.

The location itself is good, in the center of the city, but there are a lot of suspicious people (homeless people, alcoholics) staying on the square.

Perfect location and room was very clean, good coffee machine and parking was ideal. Would highly recommend this property for a few nights in Funchal. Really nice brunch spot ‘Loft’ directly outside the property. Thanks a lot

Amazing location in the center of Funchal with private parking, your rental car will be safely locked behind a gate. The room was a nice size with an excellent bathroom, shower pressure was lovely. They also supply plates, silverware, wine glasses and a wine opener.

I was a little confused with the instructions on entering the property, but it was truly my mistake. Read the email all the way through and you won't have any issues.

This place is excellent for its location. You don't need to drive your car around because you're pretty much in the centre of town. I feel like the room could have been a bit more spacious for two people, but the beds were comfortable. Isabel was very kind and helpful. The private parking was a great option.

A bit cramped, but we made it work. Also, it would be nice to have some more shelving/storage both in the bedroom and in the bathroom - hard to find places to put your clothes and toiletries.

Modern and comfortable accommodation. Great location in central Funchal.
