Halong bay Almorhome

Hana was a sweet hostess. She went out of her way to make the stay enjoyable and was very informed about tourist activities around the area.

great staff. we were able to check-in at noon insteqd of 2pm. good a/c and fan. good location close to ha long harbor.

room was a bit smaller than it looks on pictures.

The property was lovely and very modern - in a great location! The staff couldn’t be more helpful - they assisted us with directions to the port for Cat Ba Island and valued our feedback on the shower going cold after a couple of minutes - they were keen to get it sorted.

The mattress wasn’t comfortable due to being able to feel the springs and the shower went cold after a couple of minutes.

We booked a ‘Deluxe Queen Room’ for 2 nights which we informed the owner we would be arriving in the middle of the night one night and agreed this was ok. When we arrived we were out on a bottom floor room with no balcony and a tiny window which isn’t what we booked but as we arrived late there was no one to speak to so we waited till the morning. In the morning when we asked the owner said that someone else was staying in the room we had booked?? Not sure why as we specifically upgraded to a more expensive room as we knew we’d be tired from travelling then got told someone else was in it? We finally got moved to another room after waiting around for an hour and the room STILL didn’t have what we booked. It says on the description refrigerator, kettle, iron, fireplace, inner courtyard view. It didn’t have any of these. The balcony wasn’t even a balcony it was just a door to look outside to a complete dump and nothing like the pictures. When we complained again saying this isn’t the room we booked we got told ‘most people just go in the rooms and are fine’ but that’s not the point as you can’t advertise something you aren’t providing. The lady agreed to knock off 60,000 off the price and then also knocked on our door asking us if she gives us a free coffee will we not write a bad review. No? We’d rather be honest and let others know.

Don’t advertise something that isn’t correct. We always like to use the fridge and kettle when we go somewhere which is why we booked this room and it didn’t have either. We also booked a balcony room so we could sit outside which also didn’t exist.

Lovely, cosy little room. Perfect for a few nights as a base while we explored the local area. Hana is the perfect host, her English is amazing and she helped us organise a day boat trip around Ha long bay, hired a moped for us, helped us get to cat ba island and organised a bus back to hanoi. Thank you so much Hana 😀

Really friendly and helpful host. She helped us to get taxi to Tuan Chau ferry port. Location is good and there are a lot of restaurants near by.

The room was good, it’s away from the road so very quiet. Was a good place to stay the night before going to Cat Ba Island. They were able to do my laundry within a couple of hours. Very helpful and lovely hosts.
