As others already commented the entrance is a bit unusual but shouldn’t be a surprise when booking and it’s an authentic flat. Location is perfect, 10 min walk to Ortigia, 15-20 min to all the archeological sights of Siracusa, train and bus station around the corner, loads of great food places in direct vicinity. Room as described and clean. Self check in and contact with the host via WhatsApp, clear instructions on the check in, recommendations + always available when needed. Very pleasant stay

The room is nice and big. Good air-conditioning. Good location ( but on 2nd floor of darkly lit communal building with no lift) managed to park in street outside. If the description were more accurate I would score it higher. Booking.com and the current manager need to communicate with each other to ensure accuracy of information.

This is what it says on booking.com- "Guest Highlights: Guests appreciate the delicious breakfast provided by the property, the convenient location, and the comfortable rooms" except there is NO breakfast. The host told me I should be more careful in reading the booking details. If you look on google maps & reviews- it says B&B all over and reviews mention breakfast. There are lots of really lovely cafes close by. Free Wifi- BUT it doesn't work in your room, you have to sit in the communal area- which would have been the previous breakfast room. "Each room has tea & coffee maker"- No it doesn't. There is a coffee machine in the kitchen- but no coffee or tea or anything which would allow you to use it. In services it lists a minibar- this was a small fridge with 2x500mls of water. The fridge is cool- as it goes off everytime you leave the property as there is a key which turns the electric on/off. I assume this is the reason you come home to a cool shower after a day of exploring. Services also say- daily housekeeping- we didnt experience this and left a 3 day bin overflowing by the time we left. This was only plastic bottles as we took our own perishable/smelly rubbish outside.

Everything! Location, super classy interior, very kind and helpful host. Many available parking spots in the area- we got to find one just in front of the entrance door. Much better to stay here than in Ortigia- which is only a pleasant walking distance away. I loved just everything about this place! 😍

Very close to Ortigia within quick walking distance, and parking was fairly easy. Inside of the B&B, the space was charming and comfortable. Host was very helpful with suggestions of where to go and where to eat.

Loved the decor of our accommodation, you instantly felt like you were traveling in some time in the past. Exceptionally cosy bed, everything was clean, check-in and check-out was easy. Parking spots found on the street was a big plus. And being just a short walk from Ortigia was also great. Especially loved the dining area.

There’s really nothing we didn’t like

Good location at walking distance from Ortigia and amenities. Private room with bathroom. There is not host contact besides phone, but they are helpful. Basically the world is your oyster.

A bit weird access to the flat for the first time, but nothing major. Booking.com did not inform of tourist tax needed to be paid besides the money of the reservation. By law host charge 2.5 euros per person daily. Means, it was a tenner for us, nothing major, but these details are nice to know.
