B&B IL VOLO

We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad met onze twee dochters . De buitenkeuken, het schitterende uitzicht, de geweldige, lieve en professionele gastheren (Stefano en Harriët), en ook Camaiore en omgeving vonden we top. Het ontbijt dat we namen was heerlijk, met zelfgemaakte taart, goede croissants/broodjes van de bakker, fruitsalade, etc. voor een hele redelijke prijs. (Alleen was er een heel goede buitenkeuken met alle faciliteiten, waardoor we er meestal voor kozen zelf ontbijt te maken.) Wij komen zeker terug.

Wij kunnen niet echt iets bedenken. Het zwembad is bescheiden van omvang, en de ligstoelen staan wat verspreid over de verschillende terrassen, maar dat heeft ons helemaal niet gestoord. Door het uitzicht en de goede ligging op de zon zit je eigenlijk overal heerlijk. De rit ernaartoe is goed te doen vonden wij, ook al rijd je omhoog vanaf Camaiore.

Very lovely place with the most beautiful view. Apartment was cozy, clean, nicely equipped. The real star is Harriet, the owner who runs the place and was super helpful, friendly, generous and overall made our stay amazing. We felt very welcomed and would come back.

The peace and quiet, the hosts were lovely, very attentive and welcoming.The property was very clean and tidy. Pool was great, outdoor kitchen was clean and had everything you needed. Couldn’t fault the place or the people and will definitely be booking again!

Everything was wonderful! The room was very cozy, the beds were comfortable, and everything was well thought out. The parking is quite convenient. There’s also a kitchen available, although we didn’t use it. There’s a restaurant just 10 minutes away where you can have dinner. The view from the window is absolutely stunning!

It isn't easy to reach the hotel by car. The road is very narrow and has a steep incline. For a short stretch, you drive along a cliffside, and since we arrived for the first time when it was already dark, it was pretty scary to go up. However, it’s clear that the locals are completely used to it. So, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re an experienced driver (which also applies to Italy in general in this case). Everything else was excellent! Also, the floor was very cold.

The property where the apartment is located has an extremely charming location. High above the town, with views of the surrounding towns and the sea on the horizon. The house, which is not easy to get to through narrow and steep streets, is located at the end of one of them, among olive groves and various plants of the garden that surrounds it. There is a small parking lot on the property for safe and convenient parking of your vehicle. There is also a covered area for barbecuing, eating and preparing meals, equipped with tables overlooking the sea and a fully equipped kitchen, and a little higher up there are deckchairs for sunbathing. There is a small swimming pool (which we did not use at this time of year (October), but after our three nights spent there, we know that you can really relax there, you may not leave this place at all and simply enjoy the wonderful conditions for relaxation and rest, which are prepared by the owners on site. The owners are extremely nice people, always smiling, always willing to advise and help. You can simply see that they enjoy the presence of guests, they like being with people, they are open and approach running these accommodation services with heart. It's hard to imagine how it could be done better. The apartment itself is perfectly equipped, extremely clean, cozy and retains the local interior style wherever possible, combining it with the expected comfort and expectations of modern equipment. We also took advantage of the breakfast offered and it was a good decision. The breakfasts were not only very plentiful, but also very tasty. The owner bakes the cakes herself and prepares everything with extraordinary commitment. If we are looking for a place where we want to relax in peace and quiet, in the bosom of nature, with the opportunity to stay there and take advantage of all the comforts and attractions that this facility offers us, it is certainly worth coming here. To visit Viareggio and Lucca, car is recommended.
