Quiet location

The place was cluttered and very tired.

The host was lovely and very welcoming. She contacted me prior to arrival and made sure I had everything I needed for my weekend (a wedding). She also offered to give me a lift to the wedding which I thought was really kind. I The room was clean with fresh towels, refreshments and snacks.

When I arrived I entered through the conservatory which was very cluttered and messy. It looked like an antiques shop / jumble sale. There was random furniture everywhere with no seating area for breakfast. It didn't resemble the photos that I'd seen prior to arrival, and it instantly made me concerned that I'd made a mistake in booking. It's possible that I just stayed on a weekend where the host was de-cluttering the house, hence the furniture everywhere. However it did seem slightly strange and definitely raised some concerns for me. I also felt that I overpaid - although the room was clean I did not think that it was worth the price I was charged. I had friends staying in airbnbs nearby that were much cheaper and sounded nicer.

Price. Chocolate and milk provided with kettle and tea.

the stay at the Gardens did not match up to the expectations booking.com had given. The place was very cold despite heating being on. There was no breakfast provided despite the booking.com website letting us choose an option for breakfast provided. We do not intend to return to this property

It was comfortable, pleasant landlady and a good location. Landlady went to some lengths it seems to organise breakfast
