Very quiet to get a good nights sleep

Pretty close to public transportation and restaurants. The mattress was comfortable. Lots of cabinets to put your clothes in.

The room can be better cleaned as well as the bathroom. The blanket had some hairs on it, probably from the last visitor. The pillows were not so comfortable, at least for my own taste, a bit too tall. A mini fridge could be a good plus for this room.

Neil is easy going. The grocery shop right across the street is nice. Quite a few bus stops close by. Really nice to have some place cozy and quiet away from all the hustle and bustle of the festival.

The only drawback is the steep and narrow stairs that you need to climb up to get to your room. I only have a carry-on suitcase with me. Just enough room to get up-stairs. If you are staying a few days it’s worth the effort. Otherwise get a room on ground floor.

The single room at Smith's was perfect for my couple of nights at the Fringe. They were very accommodating when I needed to change my dates and were very friendly. The room itself was teeny tiny but perfect for my stay and good value for Fringe accommodation. It's about a 20 minute walk to Summerhall so was perfect for my stay. They were also felexible with my check out time which was very much appreciated.

The bathroom was separate to the bedroom (and Moyra joked that they are about equal in size!) but this wasn't a big deal at all and it was for my own use only.

Comfy room. Close to city centre. Private bath. Everything I needed. It was perfect.
