Mali Guest House

Nice big family home & comfortable room & only 6 minute walk to shops & beach. A lovely warm family who will help & arrange trips for you if you need. Marli is very sweet & was very nice getting to know her. She does an amazing breakfast which will set you up for the day & will make you fresh coconut milk drink. At the end of my stay Sarath gave me a lift to the airport & Marli kindly made me some fresh coconut milk in a bottle for my journey. She also gave me delicious homemade coconut sweets. I want to keep in touch with this family & go back there.

The train that goes past but stops running during the night & starts up again around 5am, but I’m an early riser anyway.

Я останавливаюсь на этой вилле уже 6й раз. И планирую дальше приезжать сюда. Невероятная, добрая и уютная атмосфера царит на вилле. Отдельное 100 балов Мали за ее шедевры на кухне. Она даже сырники научилась делать, всем рекомендую❤️✌🏻

Mali ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie beantwortet einem gerne Fragen oder gibt Tipps für Unternehmungen. Dabei haben wir das Gefühl, dass sie sehr ehrlich ist. Das Abendessen, wie auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker und ausreichend. Das Zimmer hat eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage und bequeme Betten. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Everything was great. Mali and her family are lovely people, they welcomed us very warmly. She is also an amazing cook. The rooms are quite spacious, but you might not have enough storage space. We traveled with carry-on luggage only and it was ok.

The house is really close to the railway. But that's the specificity of Hikkaduwa, so either by the sea for an overprice, or by the railway, or already far from the sea in the jungle. If you are a light sleeper, take earplugs

This is the place to stay in Hikkaduwa! 5min from the Beach but very nice quiet in the back. Wonderful place and best food!!!

Mali and family are wonderful people

The room was clean. The hosts were really nice. Breakfast is very tasty and big portions.

The train starts passing at 3:40 in the morning so if you are a light sleeper like me, you will wake up many times every night as it is very close and loud. The room had an ac but we were asked around 6000 per night to get the remote(we didn't get the room with ac, but still i think it's a bit expensive)
