"Fun weekend getaway in an adorable bed and breakfast."

We had a lovely weekend staying at the Murray House. We stayed in the garden room and it was spacious and clean with closet space, a small kitchen stocked with snacks, and a large bathroom. The decorations added some personality as well! The room was cozy and very comfortable and we enjoyed using the very private garden right outside our door. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked beautiful and clean. About a 5-10 minute drive to the bustling part of Newport but the neighborhood itself was safe, quiet, and convenient. Noreen was also very clear with her directions for entry even though we arrived after dark. I would definitely recommend staying at the Murray House if ever visiting Newport!

Peaceful stay. It was quiet and restful, but only minutes away from town or the beach. Really the best of both worlds.

A great place to relax and be nearby all activities. Unit was cozy and comfortable and a perfect romantic getaway weekend. Pool and jacuzzi were a great added bonus.

"Couldn’t wait to get out of there and fuming I paid $400 per night for a dump."

If you are interested in going back to a complete 1950’s time capsule of a room, you will be delighted. Bed was a slab of cement. Signs posted everywhere telling you what to do/not to do. Old dirty throw rugs you don’t want to step on without your shoes. Not a B&B - no breakfast except a basket with packaged pop tarts in it. Host/Owner never showed her face. I could go on…

Location quick walk to semi private beach. Close to Mansions, cliff walk, short trip to downtown area. Everyone we met on property was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable of locale.

Location close to Ocean Dry

Very bad mildew/mold smell, which permeated our clothing and luggage and more importantly our CPap machines. Washing hoses and parts did not rid the smell. Had to replace all of it. Room was tiny. No comfortable seating.

The pool and hot tub were fantastic. Very clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable and the landscaping was really beautiful. Noreen, the host, was extremely responsive.

Wi-Fi was sometimes intermittent.
