Carol and Nigel were very friendly and welcoming, sharing their local knowledge and also talking about their interest in art. They let us play with their dogs, Tara and Tilly, and let us see the view from their private verandah. Little welcoming touches, like the shortbread, were much appreciated. The breakfast was very hearty and well cooked. There was quite a wide menu to choose from. The bed was comfortable and our room was spacious and tastefully decorated.

The only point I could find, as I told Carol, it would have been great if there had been a light at the start of the driveway. When we returned from having dinner, we couldn’t see the entrance to the driveway and drove straight past it.
