The room was attractive, clean and modern. The shower was great. The host was welcoming and accommodated my vegan diet with a breakfast of soy yogurts, fresh fruit, cereals and pastries. The location was extraordinary, as it was located in the old city and a two minute walk from the old duomo and many restaurants. Paolo gave us restaurant recommendations and guidance on bus and walking directions to the ferry. The ferry was 20 minutes away and offered multiple daily trips to the towns on the Amalfi Coast. Salerno is only a 15 minute express train ride from Naples! We heard from a fellow traveler that there was a local bus to Pompeii which cost less than 10 Euro.

La struttura è centralissima, vicino al Duomo di Salerno. Zona tranquilla e molto frequentata di sera. L’appartamento era pulito. Il proprietario è stato molto gentile e ci ha lasciato la cucina aperta nel caso volessimo usufruire del frigo per tenere le bibite al fresco.

Se dovessi nominare un punto a sfavore, l’unico che mi sento di segnalare è che non c’è l’aria condizionata, ma un condizionatore. Il proprietario ci ha spiegato che essendo un palazzo d’epoca ancora non hanno avuto le autorizzazioni per la climatizzazione, per cui sono più che giustificati a nostro parere!

Das Zimmer war wunderschön, in einem historischen Gebäude! Ichs fühlte mich sofort zu Hause! Die Lage ist perfekt. Und: Paolo ist ein sehr angenehmer Gastgeber, hilfsbereit, unaufdringlich, verlässlich und ausgesprochen freundlich. Beim nächsten Mal in Salerno buche ich sein Zimmer auf jeden Fall wieder!!!

Salerno wakes up early. So you may hear city life from 8am onwards

In the old town which was very pretty, and in a 15th century building which had great character. Really spacious room with comfortable beds. Was a traditional Italian breakfast.

We didn’t dislike anything, some tea and coffee and a fridge would have been great.
