Ching Yue B&B

Staff (Owner?) is friendly. Lisa came to pick us up at the Seven Eleven Store because it is unclear where the B&B is located. The room was clean. Free water bottles. The breakfast sandwich was decent.

Location of the accomodation is a nightmare to find. The address stated on Booking is the entrance to the appartment building where the rooms are located. The "reception" is in a different building located at the main street. This is super confusing. Also the reception entrance is not labeled or visually recognizable as a B&B facility. We had to call the owner to come and pick us up. One person posted pictures in the Booking comments to help with this issue. It is not helping at all because instead of posting pictures of the reception building where you have to go to, he posted pictures of the sidestreet where the entrance to the appartments is. The building is not soundproofed in the slightest. Not only do you hear the noise from the main street but you can also follow the conversation of your neighbours as if you were in the same room with them. Statements from guests according to which the location is surprisingly calm are either nonsense or they were super lucky to not having had any neighbours. The neighbours were not yelling by the way but having a conversation at a normal noise level. The matresses are very, very hard. The breakfast was a good gesture since it was for free but otherwise not worth money. We got a toast sandwich and a cup of either instant coffee or sweet tea. All things considered the sandwich was decent.

good location, right in front of the 7-11. have a few flight of stairs but it’s okay! host was amazing, she was so informative and helped us a lot with our plans throughout our stay. so accommodating and friendly!! love this place for a night’s stay and host even helped us book a night walking tour of jiufen.

shower water pressure was a little weak but that’s okay for a night :-)

Great location with lovely hosts. We stayed in the smallest room, which was still big enough for us and both of our backpacks. You sleep basically at the entrance from Jiufen and you have a 7-11 and Family Mart super close. We got free water, tea and shampoo everyday. Great place to stay

For Europeans the bed is a bit hard but this wasn’t a big issue for us. Just wanted to mention.

Our host was fantastic. She was so helpful and explained everything we needed to know (in English). The location is superb; right at the start of the old street. And so close to the bus stop. Couldn't be a better location. The room contained everything we needed. Like most places in Taiwan we've been, the bed was firm, which I love.

The room is very small, however it is well designed and we loved it.
