Its location was near to an event we were attending

There was a dreadful smell in one of the two rooms allocated to us. Received a phone call earlier in the day to say the host would not be there as they were attending a function and we should just let ourselves in. There was nobody therefore there to discuss the issues with. The internal walls were not soundproofed and we could clearly hear a loud argument in an adjoining room The rooms were unbelievably warm despite the windows being wide open The beds were very old and uncomfortable The booking was non refundable so we just left and found alternative accommodation at an extra cost late at night nearby
