"Great hotel close to the sea"

We enjoyed our stay at the Castleton very much. We had the family suite, two rooms en-suite, for us and the two grown-up girls. The rooms were very nice and well equipped, a bit small though, but for 2 days it was okay. The owner and her staff were lovely and the breakfast was great. I enjoyed that the beach was so closed and I could go for a morning swim.

"A delightful stay by the seaside"

The location is a short walk to the beach and town centre. Decor and facilities, friendly, welcoming staff. An extremely generous cooked breakfast as well as a substantial continental buffet ( all included).

Not a major issue but there are only 3 parking spaces for the property, 2 of which are rather tight. There was however plenty of free street parking one street over behind the pub and the hosts offer to compensate any parking costs incurred if public parking is needed to be used. Probably more of an issue in peak season.

"Having friends in Swanage will have no hesitation in going back to The Castleton next time we visit"

The property was spotlessly clean and we had a very friendly welcome from Kate Breakfast was organised very well including GF options for my wife. All staff were so friendly so overall a pleasant stay

"Lovely 3 night stay at a warm friendly place"

Was greeted with a real friendly owner, who showed us to our amazing room/en suite which was very clean and tidy, with a real comfortable bed. In the morning we were shown to our table by a lovely chatty friendly lady and had a lovely cooked breakfast. Couldn’t fault anything apart from a bit of rain on the morning of our last day. Had a lovely chat before we left on our journey home.

Prachtige kamer, schoon en modern. Goed ontbijt

Geen parkeergelegenheid, wel op loopafstand maar daar betaal je apart voor.
