Unfortunately, we were not able to stay at the property. When we arrived, we noticed that the house was very old, poorly maintained, and had a very strong smell of damp/old closed-up house. We had to open the windows immediately because the smell was extremely unpleasant and impossible to tolerate. In addition, the owner informed us that there were bats at the property, which made us feel very scared and unsafe. This caused a lot of distress, and we did not feel comfortable or secure enough to use the house, sleep there, or remain at the property. The atmosphere felt very heavy and uncomfortable, and the house did not seem to be in suitable condition to receive guests. For this reason, we had to leave immediately. This was not a matter of personal preference, but a matter of safety, hygiene, and well-being. Therefore, we kindly request the cancellation of the booking without any charge and a full refund, as we were unable to use the accommodation.

Everything was great

The host, Kamla, was very welcoming and friendly. We loved the grandeur of the property and the relaxed atmosphere. The room was very clean and the parking space for our van was excellent. Also, the informal breakfast was great and we particularly enjoyed chatting around the breakfast table with the other guests and the host, whilst enjoying the lovely views over the garden. The house is an old period property with original features, and for us, this added to the charm of our stay.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. Everything was great.

Very old, if you like stairs lots of them, there are two places called Ballynona House. Taken to wrong location first.

A beautiful and unique heritage home with a lovely host. Kamil provides a substantial breakfast and engaging conversation. Bed very comfortable.

The house is very tired, if interesting.
