Armadale House Scotland Farr North Coast B&B

Excellent spacious room and bathroom on the ground floor, lovely and warm, hostess was wonderful and obliging, great breakfast, very clean. The stately Victorian house was easy to find, and guests had a separate entrance to the host. A bonus was SHUTTERS, which kept out the long N Scotland twilights, enabling better sleep.

No kitchenette, as was advertised on Booking.com - there was shared kitchen, between all the residents (7 rooms) - OK to make a coffee/hot drink, but I would not have wanted to cook a whole meal eg evening meal. No Microwave. This did not matter, as we only stayed two nights.

It is in a wonderful location on the north coast route so very convenient set in lovely green countryside close to the sea. it has the most beautiful immaculate gardens and the interior is amazing with huge rooms and lovely big windows making it very light. The bathroom is huge too and there was h eating too for the cooler evenings. very tastefully furnished in an appropriate style and there was an excellent dining room and kitchenette for getting your own meals or tea.coffee fridge for your food and cupboard for d ried stuf. Well kitted out. The garden was also for sitting out if you wanted and it was pretty with all the colourful borders. Detta the owner is amazing - so warm and lovely and a mine of information so kind and helpful. She produced wonderful breakfasts in the very smart dining room at t he front and it is like being a guest in very posh country house. There is a good inn a few miles down the road doing very good evening meals if you want. plenty of parking and the wifi works well so you can use your own device for watching TV ifyou want as she does not have that in the bedrooms but is a different kind of b and b. more like being a special guesst in someone's else house.

A lovely house with a beautiful garden, nestled in a peaceful and quiet location. The room was spacious, the bed incredibly comfortable, and everything was spotless. Detta is a truly wonderful host who puts great care into everything she does, making you feel right at home. She welcomed us warmly, and it was a pleasure having conversations with her and getting tips on what to explore in the area. Her breakfast was a delightful touch—especially the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming stay.

Friendly host and wonderful company. Well renovated listed stone house. In an isolated location, but a wonderful cafe/restaurant only 10 minutes away. Great breakfast, and tea and coffee making facilities in the kitchen downstairs.

It would be good to have the tea and coffee making in the bedroom.

Cool old house. Helpful hostess.

Smell of cigarettes when we arrived. Last guest maybe? Lack of accommodations in area so it was above our budget.
