Sajith is a very kind an caring person. Always trying to give 100% for his guests. He gave us a free private tour through the jungle with an amazing view of the Lion Rock. The rooms were clean and included a warm shower. Breakfast was extreamely tasty and more than enough. We also had a dinner near the campfire with a delicious Rice and Curry cooked by his mother. Moreover Sajith arranged us a very nice Safari Tour. All in all an incredible experience!

The greatest surprise and definitely the most unique and wholesome stay of my mixed stays (5 star hotel to homestay) in Sri Lanka. I wish I could have stayed here longer, a place like this gives meaning to traveling! - Walking distance from Pidurangula and Sigiriya rock (nice hike!); - Bus stop directly at the main road. Frequent, easy and super fast to Dambulla; - Beautiful hikes around the property; - Spacious and fresh room with high ceilings, double glass door to your own terrace (a lot of natural light during the day + good pair of curtains), super big bathroom and comfy huge shower. All super clean; - The food! Breakfast super royal and most delicious rice and curry served for dinner; - WiFi works perfect, way better than in most hotels I’ve been to in Sri Lanka; - Amazing surroundings, a true treasure in the jungle yet super close to the main road; - Swimming lake, safe and stunning views on Sigiriya rock; - Sajith is very knowledgeable, interesting, respectful, a good soul! Present on all the right moments without being intrusive, made my stay unforgettable! Over all completely exceeded expectations, thank you a million times.

Such an amazing welcoming at Grand freedom, this family is very friendly. The guy gave us a lot of information and make us discovered the area of the hostel. The breakfast and the room was truly amazing. This is a really peaceful place in the nature.

Amazing from start to finish, owners are so friendly and kind. When we arrived we was given fresh coconuts. Spacious clean room with comfy clean beds. The owner will do everything to make you feel welcomed he even took us to a viewpoint close by!

The best stay we’ve since we started travelling, Sajith is amazing! so knowledgeable and a great host! he has a better understanding of good service in hospitality than some “fancy” hotels in London I’ve been to. We had fresh coconuts on arrival! flowers and towel art on the bed without any extra cost or request! food incredible we ate breakfast and dinner here every day Sajith showed us the lake and we have a private tour through the jungle couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Very clean and huge room. Extremely comfortable bed. Hospitality from Sajith and his mom absolutely perfect. Breakfast and Dinner sooo yummie. I had an amazing stay surrounded by nature and highly recommend to stay there.

Wounderful quiet location in the middle of the jungle near Lion Rock(Sirigiya). The rice and curry is great and the breakfast pleantyful. The owner is really nice and puts his heart into his homestay, he offered us a tour to the nearby lake which was very informative. We had an wild elephant visiting the homestay during the early morning hours, which made it a special event.

Our stay was really nice. The room/ House was clean and very comfy. Our Host was very friendly and showed us the lake. On top he organized a private safari for us in the region. But the very best was the breakfast, best breakfast during our whole Sri Lanka trip! Thankyou so much!!

This place is magical. It has a very special aura. The family, Sanjit and his mom&dad, are very good people, putting a lot of work and great care in every detail - from the flower decoration in the room, to the fire in the evening in their little restaurant hut to the delicious and balanced rice and curry, home cooked by the mom! The room is clean and has high quality sheets and pillows, and the large window opens to the jungle garden, you are immersed in light, green and animal sounds. The family is deeply rooted in the area and can recommend places and people for everything you want. We, for example, did a safari tour with Sanjit’s friend and he was very friendly and patient and made sure we had a great experience. We truly could not have asked for more.
