Sigiriya Nature Resort

Lovely property, beautifully presented & decorated in a quite spot surrounded by wildlife. There was lots to do on your doorstep. We had a fantastic experience arranged by the owner which was a trip in a tractor, then rowed around a beautiful lake. We then walked to the village to be treated to a brilliant cookery lesson and a sumptuous feast afterwards. We understand the safari arranged by the son in his jeep is a great but sadly we hadn't git enough time to enjoy this.

Nothing. Just a tiny detail which certainly didn't spoil our stay but a little fridge in the room would have been a great addition.

Cosy, easy to find and access. Room is very spacious and the breakfast was delish.

The room smelt a bit musky, but with a/c dehumidifier it helped.

Eine wunderschöne, familiengeführte Unterkunft mit liebevoll gestalteten Bungalows. Die Familie ist unglaublich herzlich und hilfsbereit – wir haben uns von Anfang an willkommen gefühlt. Alles war sauber, ruhig und perfekt zum Entspannen. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und wurde mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die persönliche Betreuung und die wertvollen Tipps. Absolut empfehlenswert – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr schönes Zimmer in Sigiriya. Die Gastgeberfamilie ist unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend. Sie haben uns bei allem geholfen und uns auch regelmäßig einen Transport organisiert.

very friendly and helpful staff, great services such as the safari which was organized directly by the manager, organization of transport, even check in early in the morning at 5:30 was possible. well-kept garden, great location and the area was not too touristy with few restaurants, delicious home made Sri Lankan breakfast at a charming terrace with great views

One has to take into account that there may be some visitors such as lizards in the room

They organized several private car an Tuk Tuk transports for a good price. All worked fine. In addition, we booked the village tour, which was an amazing experience incl. a beautiful boot trip and cooking with locals. The food was fantastic. Finally we also had dinner at the accomodation, where the mother and daughter prepared delicious food. It is definitely a place you should stay.

-hübsche kleiner Häuser mit viel Platz in der Natur -bei Bedarf wird auch Abendessen für einen gekocht. Gibt aber auch gute Restaurants direkt in der Umgebung. Eins davon gehört dem Bruder -Besitzer (und Familie) ist super nett und kümmert sich um alles was man braucht (kennt TukTuk Fahrer, Fahrer für eine längere Weiterreise oder Abholung vom Flughafen) -Elefanten Safari konnten wir auch direkt mit ihm machen (verhält sich dabei sehr gut ggü Natur und Tieren)

Our whole experience at this hotel has been amazing from start to finish. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with fresh and flavorful meals that we truly enjoyed. Every request we had was accommodated without any issues, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The host also arranged several tours for us, including a village tour, a relaxing massage, and a day trip to Polonnaruwa—all at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend the village tour—it was a fascinating experience! We explored a beautiful local lake by a small boat, witnessed a unique showcase of traditional cooking, and enjoyed an authentic, delicious meal. The massage was incredibly relaxing, and thanks to the host, we received a great discount. If you have time, a visit to Polonnaruwa is definitely worth it—an incredible historical site full of stunning ruins and history. Additionally, the host arranged multiple taxi transfers for us as we traveled around Sri Lanka. These were of high quality and fairly priced, unlike the inflated rates some other hotels offer. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sri Lanka!
