Dream Villa Sigiriya

The property was very comfortable, very clean and very good value with nothing to fault it … but staying at Dream Villas is more than that - it’s an experience and a genuine highlight of our Sri Lankan holiday. As most reviews have indicated the hosts were absolutely fantastic providing wonderful home-made food and a host of lovely touches including an evening meal on the rooftop which will remain a memory for life. Generous, friendly and engaged, our hosts arranged scooters; elephant jeep safaris and transportation. A week later Latmini was still helping us out from afar, helping organising transport around the country which made things very easy. Dream Villas is a great choice, it’s easy walking distance from Lion Rock; close to a few bars and restaurants and the Home Stay itself - the best example of proper, honest hospitality. We travelled around Sri Lanka, staying in a range of lovely hotels but the one we’ll remember the most will be Dream Villas.

We had an amazing stay. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left Lakmini and Sanath were so friendly and accommodating. They gave us drinks on arrival and offered us a home cooked dinner as well. They also sorted our transport to our next destination! The place itself is definitely worth the price you’re paying and I would recommend it to others. It’s only a short walk or tuk tuk away from restaurants and bars etc

Exceptional hosts throughout our stay. Lakmini ferried us about in the tuktuk and even took us shopping in Danbulla. He knows the whole village of Sigiriya so can help with anything. Sanath is an amazing cook and a beautiful soul. On our first night we asked if she could cook us a meal. It was an experience we will never forget. The food was top class, but the setting was on another level and a great surprise. A romantic dinner on the roof with heart, candles, music, fire and lighting. The room itself was modern, clean with a nice design. Shower was good and toiletries were provided. The only thing that could have been added was a little kettle and selection of tea/coffee. It's nice to have a drink when you wake up. Water bottles were replenished throughout our stay and we were blessed with snacks and other beautiful goodies. The location was very good and close to many experiences. Thank you Lakmini and Sanath for being such caring hosts ❤️

There is nothing we did not like. All was exceptional.

We had a wonderful stay for our honeymoon! Our hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The room was beautifully decorated for our arrival, we slept very well, and the food was delicious. Thank you for making our stay so special — we highly recommend this hotel!

Owner and staff are client oriented and very welcoming. The room and bed is big sized and everything is clean and tidy. Moreover, the owner is very well connected and happy to organize any kind of service (tour, transfer) required. I highly recommend Dream Villa for a stay in Sigyria!

Dream Villa is a must if you’re visiting Sigiriya. The park is just a short walk away, making it easy for early morning visits. Our hosts were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Their service was the best experience with accommodations in our Sri Lanka trip. The breakfast was as dreamy as well. Every day we had something different and all of them were very delicious. This is the kind of place where the hospitality is as memorable as the destination itself. We cannot recommend Dream Villa highly enough!

Die Familie war sehr gastfreundlich und hat uns bei all unseren Aktivitäten geholfen.

Die Gastgeber waren einfach unbeschreiblich lieb. Sie haben sich wunderbar um uns gekümmert, es gab ein Begrüßungsgetränk und uns sogar bei der Abreise mit dem Bus geholfen und mit Wasser und einem Snack versorgt. Beide waren absolut hilfsbereit und haben uns alle Fragen beantwortet. Zur Begrüßung haben sie aus Handtüchern einen Elefanten auf dem Bett geformt. Die Unterkunft ist super liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr praktisch zum Eingang des Löwenfelsens gelegen. Wir sind zu Fuß bis dort gelaufen. Wir hatten eine kleine Sitzecke draußen und ein großes Schlafzimmer mit gut funktionierender Klimaanlage und Mückennetz.

Das einzige was man vielleicht erwähnen könnte war die Badezimmertür, die nicht richtig geschlossen hat, aber für uns war das kein Problem.
