The room is pretty and brilliantly located for the old town. It's quiet for sleeping. Apparently the breakfast is very nice but we were out by 5.30am to catch a taxi which Sylvia booked for us.

I was suprised at the entrance to the apartments. It is a pretty rough old concrete yard and I realised the name Il Giardino Segreto was romantic rather than factual. We arrived a bit earlier than planned and got quite confused with texts and calls with Sylvia as there is an apartment 1 outside (the area in the photos with plants) as well as one inside the door you get buzzed through. Fortunately our neighbours arrived home and spoke fluent Italian. I do speak some and could not work out where the room was as it was locked when it should have been open. Little things. The rooms you can see with the chairs and table does not look nicely set out like that. Myabe that happens in the morning. It was only 11 euro cheaper for the night than staying the previous week in a beautiful apartment overlooking Piazza Carmine, so I was expecting more.

Das B&B wird von einem privaten Vermieter betrieben, sehr freundlich, hat uns gute Tipps gegeben für lokale Restaurants. Es liegt recht nah an der Altstadt, man ist in 5 Minuten dort. Das B&B liegt im Hinterhof, ein Apartment ist in einem Nebenhaus. Wir hatten das 3Personen-Zimmer, von der Größe her nicht zu groß, aber dafür mit einer Dachterrasse incl. Liegestühlen. Das Frühstück wird an der Reception eingenommen. Brot, Kuchen und Marmelade ist lecker und selbst gemacht. Platzmäßig ist es recht eng dort, aber da wir mit einer Gruppe von 8 Personen dort waren, war es für uns kein Problem. Kostenfreies Parken an der Straße ist praktisch nicht möglich, da alles voll ist, aber im Hinterhof kann man parken (gegen Gebühr), sollte man aber vorher abklären und reservieren.

Soweit alles ok, lediglich der Preis ist recht hoch (Im Oktober waren es für 2 Personen 150€/Nacht inkl. Frühstück+Parken), aber dafür ist man zu Fuß schnell in der Altstadt.

Soggiorno fantastico! La stanza è molto carina, pulita e in una posizione perfetta,comoda per noi per parcheggiare le moto al chiuso, a pochi passi dal centro storico e a tutti i vari ristorantini. Ci siamo sentiti subito a nostro agio. Gli host sono stati gentilissimi e sempre disponibili, davvero persone splendide e accoglienti. Consigliatissimo a chi vuole visitare la città e sentirsi come a casa!

Wir waren ab dem 08.09.2025 für 4 Nächte da. Die super zentrale Lage ist nicht zu toppen. Von da kann man bequem jede Sehenwürdigkeit zu Fuß erreichen. Wir haben auch immer einen kostenfreien Parkplatz in der Straße oder näheren Umgebung gefunden. Super nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die auch sehr gute Tips für Unternehmungen Vorort und darüberhinaus parat haben. Die Zimmer sind top und trotz der zentralen Lage ist es dort sehr ruhig! Das Frühstück mit frisch gebackenem Brot und Kuchen, selbst gemachter Konfitüre waren ebenfalls top.
