Hospitality at its best. Comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.

Very convenient Heathrow airport it did not feel like it was so close as it is a house too. But very spotlessly clean. Do let Paul know you need parking as we used the space off road but there is plenty parking around on road or the grass verge outside. Price excellent. We did not have breakfast due to early start.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for London Heathrow. The accommodation was very good.

We arrived during a heat wave so it was very hot in the bedroom, however, the fan helped greatly.

We were refused entry even though we had a reservation and had paid in advance. The lodge said we arrived too late, even though our flight was delayed, and they didn't let us in. We had nowhere to stay. No refund.

Paul at Stanwell Lodge, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding a recent reservation at your establishment. My booking was for 6/30 and I was expected to arrive by 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen travel delays, two young girls did not arrive until approximately 10:30 PM. Upon our arrival, we found Stanwell Lodge completely locked. We attempted to contact the lodge several times via both text and phone for check-in assistance, but received no response whatsoever. This was particularly distressing as our Booking.com confirmation clearly stated that check-in was available until 11:00 PM. To our shock and dismay, we subsequently discovered that our reservation had been previously cancelled without any prior notification or communication from Stanwell Lodge. This left two young girls stranded without a room at 11:00 PM at night, forcing them to scramble to find alternative accommodation in an unfamiliar area. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for guests is utterly unacceptable. Not only did Stanwell Lodge fail to honor a confirmed reservation, but it also neglected to communicate the cancellation, leaving us in a highly vulnerable and stressful situation. I expect a full refund for this egregious error and a resolution to this matter. I also intend to report this incident to Booking.com. Sincerely, CAF

Nowhere to put ‘stuff’ in shower

a last min booking made due to a missed connection. Paul responded quickly over the app. Intercepted us curb side after we got off the uber and led us straight to our rooms. Room has no AC (nor does anyone in the same class) but they do have a Dyson fan. The room was hot when we arrived but I cannot fault them for that, we booked the room less than an hour ago. Bed was supportive with good quality mattress and beddings. Room is beautifully decorated with pictures of the area not some random abstract artwork. Woke up past breakfast time but Paul still kindly catered to our breakfast request. Beautifully prepared breakfast that was made to order. Coffee was good too from a french press. we also used the shuttle service which was seamless. Everything was just easy and effortless, and there are thoughtful details everywhere you look, the local artwork, the smart toilet, butter thats served in its own glass jar rather than the small plastic disposable ones. The little details are not much on their own but when put together they separate themselves from the average B&B experience by a long way imho and you can tell the owners do put a lot of effort into the place.

did not do an objective test but internet was a little sluggish at times. shower temperature was hard to control but Paul is aware of the issue and I was told upgrade is on its way.
