Turtle Watch Cabana

La ubicación, el encanto del entorno y la familia que lo lleva! Un lugar maravilloso para desconectar, disfrutar de la zona más virgen de Srilanka y ver tortugas!!!!

De locatie is mooi en rustig gelegen. We hebben schildpadden eieren zien leggen, schildpadden eten gegeven en net uit het ei gekomen schildpadjes naar zee zien trekken. De eigenaar en zoontje waren geweldige gidsen. Zijn vriendelijke vrouw heeft 2x een heerlijk diner verzorgd. De oceaan is ruig, niet de beste plein om te zwemmen maar je kunt er prachtige wandelingen maken en over rotsen lopen. Hier en daar is er n gelegenheid voor n drankje. Daar ben je een van de weinige toeristen. Heerlijk!

Es la segunda vez que me alojo en este lugar! Asanka y toda su familia son unos excelentes anfitriones! Las cabañas tienen todos los servicios y una una bonita decoración! Asanka nos acompañó a ver el desove de tortugas! 100% recomendable

Lo mejor del alojamiento es su anfitrión Asanka. Nada más llegar nos llevó a la playa dónde había un macho adulto enorme, nos bañamos y lo pudimos tocar. Hay servicio de restaurante y ellos mismos preparan la cena, avisándolo previamente. Las cabañas son sencillas, pero espaciosas, limpias y unas camas muy cómodas con mosquiteras. El desayuno era una bandeja de frutas y unos pankakes buenísimos con café y té. Asanka nos acompañó por la noche a la playa para ver desovar las tortugas. Estuvo con nosotros casi 4h, sin cobrar nada por ello. Fue una experiencia increíble disfrutar nosotros 4 en exclusiva del desove y ver varias tortugas, y también tuvimos la suerte de ver el nacimiento de tortugas bebé y verlas atravesar la playa y llegar al mar. Mis hijas también disfrutaron en el alojamiento de las 2 perritas que tenían, muy cariñosas y educadas. Muchas gracias por todo Asanka, un placer!!!

Super séjour, les hôtes sont un couple très gentil. La cuisine est délicieuse. L' endroit.est très apaisant et très bien placé à 300 mètres de la plage. Grâce à eux on a pu voir une tortue dans l' eau et assister à la ponte d une tortue. Allez y les yeux fermés

Wat een prachtige plek! Echt een klein paradijsje wat de eigenaar zelf heeft gecreëerd op eigen terrein. Dit stuk land is al heel lang familie bezit en hij heeft er 3 Cabanas gebouwd en de 4 in aanbouw. Deze wordt helemaal van hout, vertelde hij. De inrichting en afwerking is werkelijk prachtig! Je waant je in een luxe resort. Ontbijt was heel uitgebreid en super vers met fruit uit eigen tuin. Dineren kan hier ook en is zeker een aanrader, want de gastvrouw kan heerlijk koken. De lekkerste kotthu van onze vakantie. De gastheer neemt ons mee naar een kleine baai waar een grote schildpad is gesignaleerd en heeft lang voor het centrum dat de schildpadden beschermd als vrijwilliger gewerkt. Hij neemt je dan ook graag ‘s avonds mee naar de schildpadden.

Niks! Wel 1 kakkerlak onder de douche gesignaleerd, maar dat hoort ook een beetje erbij als je midden in de natuur zit

The host and family were so welcoming and hospitable. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and show us around. The cabanas are modern and clean, with comfy beds and modern bathrooms. My two sons were kept entertained with the wildlife that roamed the jungle like backyard. The host's son was keen to show us the local beaches and made a fantastic guide for us. The homemade meals were tasty, fresh, and a good size. Everything was made on site and they were happy to oblige any dietary requirements if they were able to. We recommend this stunning little out-of-the-way jungle spot for those looking to escape to a quieter area. Also, Asanka, the main host, has helped with the Rewaka Turtle Watch for years and was happy to support us to observe turtles at night.

The cabana is located in beautiful garden with hammocks to chill. Great vibe when is dark. It’s situated within walking distance to the beach. The owners are really helpful and friendly. The host offered himself to go with us to watch turtles in the night. We also had laundry done without any charges. The breakfast was tasty. There was also possibility to order homemade food.
