"Fine, once I had found the house."

The house had a wonderful view of the hilltop village nearby, and it was beautifully quiet.

Finding the property was very difficult, especially as it was after dark. Two people I spoke to in the village (Cigognola) had never heard of Monteguzzo, and the house turned out to be more than a mile away, and then at least 800 yards up a dirt track. The route to the house needs to be explained FAR more clearly! In the end I phoned the host, and half an hour later she came out in her car to show me the way.
