Annette and her daughter Alisa were so gracious and accommodating. The peacefulness of the farm has to be experienced. We loved the boxers and Tweed, the frisbee catching border Collie. Food was delicious 😋 The proximity to the Pentlands made a picturesque backdrop looking out the bedroom window.

No dislikes at all

The breakfast was delicious and we loved the life around the property. Felt like a home away from home and made us wish we could stay longer. The Horses and other animals were wonderful and they told us about a cool little trail to explore near by that had a super nice waterfall. Easy distance from Edinburgh. Room was clean and loved that there was tub in the bathroom. Just wonderful experience.

Eine in jeglicher Hinsicht außergewöhnliche Unterkunft auf einer in den Pentlands gelegenen Farm südlich von Edinburgh. Schon bei Ankunft wird man von den hofeigenen fünf Hunden begrüßt und zum Spielen aufgefordert. Der Check-in war unproblematisch, die Tür zum Gästebereich war immer offen und am Eingang stand auf einer Tafel, welches Zimmer welcher Gast bekommt. Die Zimmer selbst sind sehr geräumig und haben große Fenster. Die Bäder verfügen über Dusche und Badewanne. Am Vorabend konnte man auswählen, welches Frühstück man gerne hätte (Pancakes, Porridge oder fully cooked scottish breakfast mit Haggis und Bloodpudding). Zusätzlich gab es ein kleines Buffett mit Toast, Cerealien, Honig, Marmelade, Kaffee, Tee und Saft. Auf der Farm gibt es Tiere aller Art, allen voran die "riesigen" Clydesdales-Pferde, Highland-Rinder, Schafe, Ziegen, Schweine, Hühner, Esel und Lamas - und alle durften "besucht" werden und freuten sich über die Aufmerksamkeit. Ein Paradies für Tiefreunde! Die Gastgeberfamilie war sehr lieb, freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir durften unser mitgebrachtes Essen im Frühstücksraum verzehren und Besteck und Geschirr aus der Küche benutzen.

Wer ein Problem mit freilaufenden Hunden und deren "Hinterlassenschaften" auf der Wiese vor dem Haus hat, sollte keine Unterkunft auf dieser Farm buchen (für uns war es kein Problem).

It was a great experience staying here. Not only were the people lovely, but the setting and location were fabulous. Good breakfast, great room. I will definitely stay again. Parking was important in this trip - it was excellent.

I’m not really a dog person, the owners dogs were a bit of a surprise, but they were all quiet and friendly. It is a working farm so dogs are to be expected - it wouldn’t stop me staying again.
